God is Good!!!

I haven't blogged in a while, but I have been very busy.
In the past month, I have recently picked up a new healthy hobby, applied for a new job, been in a wedding, attended my 10 year high school reunion (WOW I am OLD), and missed a lot of church.

Our new hobby is amazing, and the best part is that both Davin and I enjoy it! We recently acquired 2 new road bikes, and have been going on a lot of rides. Davin's goal is to ride in ragbri, a yearly cross Iowa bike rally, my goal is to just get in better shape. Our regular rides on average are about 20 miles. Today Davin wants to ride 40-50... this may be or not may not be my last blog...
 High Tressel Trail (26 miles)

On Thursday, I found out the best news at work! A week and a half ago my two principals approached me with the news that they wanted me to switch from K-1 SPED to 2-3 SPED. This was after applying for two general education classroom positions, and being turned down by one of them and waiting for the other one. I had to think about it and pray about it, I finally told them I would do it, but it was not what I really wanted. Then no one said anything to me about it for over a week. I finally gave in and asked. My principal told me to check my email. That is when I found out that my request for 2nd grade was approved!!!! I am going to be a 2nd Grade general education teacher!!!!

Last weekend, I had the honor to be in the Slama/Rathke wedding party!!!! It was the fanciest wedding that I have ever attended, let alone be in. Justine and Derek were one of the most beautiful couples that I ever did see, and I got to meet a butt ton of amazing people.

Finally, I attended my high school reunion. It went way better than the 5 year one, no one asked if I was pregnant. I got to catch up with classmates, and yeah it went pretty well. Over half of our class showed up, so that was good.

And as far as the church is concerned, I do miss my friends and church family, but with the last month...YIKES!!! Hopefully I will see you in 3 Weeks. Next weekend is my mother's PhD graduation in Wisconsin, and this week we are going on another bike ride...
